For over 5 decades, beginning to work part-time while in high school like many of my classmates, I studied and worked to develop a good reputation as a credible practitioner of advertising, marketing and public relations, first in the newspaper industry and then as an independent agency owner.
Successfully providing strategic business plans and marketing communications advice to clients in order to help them achieve their business goals and objectives has been exciting and rewarding.
In addition to developing and operating several businesses with great clients and customers during my business career, as a volunteer it has been my great fortune to serve with and learn from highly qualified people in many local, state, national and international organizations.

Initially attending Bellarmine College (now Bellarmine University), and earning a BBA from the University of Kentucky, I volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army. After deployment overseas and honorable discharge from the military, I was working in sales for the Lexington Herald-Leader/Knight Ridder Corporation when I was fortunate to meet Cindy Weaver and soon after she agreed to marriage. After working in management of the corporation and traveling the nation, I decided that I could and should become an entrepreneur to own and operate companies. It has been a rewarding business career in which service to others has been the objective and profits just part of the reward.
Although we did not have children, Cindy and I have donated company resources and and personal services to youth oriented organizations, including Fayette County Public Schools, Living Arts and Science Center, The Lexington Ballet, Blue Grass Council Boys Scouts of America, U.S. Army JROTC, U.S. Air Force JROTC, U.S. Marine Corps JROTC, U.S. Navy JROTC, U.S. Army Cadet Corps, U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, Marine Corps Young Marines and U.S. Air Force Civil Air Patrol. Seeing many young people, especially those from poor backgrounds, realize their potential in many walks of life has been emotionally rewarding and gratifying beyond words.
