I didn't know Mike had passed.
He lived on the next block from me when I lived on Rainbow. (Rebel Rd)
Mike was THE first friend I had at Lafayette. Even the Football crowd was slow to cotton to the Country Boy from La Grange, KY... Hell most didn't know where I was from, but Mike never cared.
Most probably don't even know how close we were then.
Some of y'all called me Don Eagle (nickname given me by Roy Crouch), but we called Mike "Dan Eagle" because he and I were together so much.
Haven't kept up with him much in the last 20 years, but he will be missed.
Mike was on the U.K. Basketball cheerleaders squad who performed at the U.K. games for basketball and football. Don't remember how many years he did that.
