Evelyn Burk (Seymour)Evelyn (Marie) Burk Seymour, 75, gently breathed her last breath, and stepped into her new home of heaven, June 25, 2021. Born February 18, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Evelyn was preceded in death by her Loving Husband of 48 years – James Eldred (Jim) Seymour, as well as her Mother and Father - John Choate and V. Marie Burk (Moore). Survived by her Son and Daughter-in-Law – Jared Eldred and Melinda Suzanne Seymour (Hilliard). Also Survived by Brother and Sister-In-Law – John Edward and Emilia Burk, and Niece – Tracy (Burk) and Kyle Lewis and 2 Children, and Nephew - Wesley (Wes) and Shelly Burk and 3 Children.

Evelyn will be unbelievably missed by both family and friends, not only for her exceptional talents and skills as a 1st Soprano Opera singer, Pianist, Public and Private School Teacher of voice and piano for decades. Evelyn was also the Founder / Director of the Lexington Community Chorus, which was a public chorus in Central Kentucky for 21 years. Evelyn and Jim also co-founded FaithWord Ltd., which has worked with many ministries worldwide since 2002.

Words really cannot do her the justice deserved for being such a dedicated Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Friend while during her life. With all her accomplishments in this life most important was Evelyn was a fierce warrior for God, and constant counselor for anyone needing love or support of any kind. A constant voice of caring wisdom and knowledge, she was always there for family, friends, and colleagues no matter what the circumstance, or time.

Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm, Saturday July 10, 2021, at Milward’s at 391 Southland Drive, in Lexington, KY 40503, followed immediately by a Life Memorial Celebration at The Seymour’s home in Lexington for which all are invited. Burial will be at Camp Nelson, Monday July 12, 2021 promptly at 9am.

What a beautiful life Evelyn led! She will be deeply missed, and my heartfelt sympathy goes to her family and friends.
