Butch Locklar

I went directly to UK in the Fall of 1964, graduating in December, 1968 with a degree in Math. Married the former Anna Lee Nave in November, 1968. Went on active duty in the Air Force in December, 1968.

I went to USAF pilot training school in Big Spring, Texas. Spent seven years as a pilot in the Air Force, flew in Southeast Asia, and had assignments in Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, most of the time as an instructor pilot.

Earned an MBA from UK in 1977, worked as an analyst in the restaurant business with Jerrico, Inc. for 12+ years. Also worked for Fazolis for a time and did restaurant consulting until 1997. Worked at Southland Christian Church as Executive Director of Administration and Finance for 12+ years until September 2003. In September 2003 founded a non-profit organization called Voice For Humanity with four other guys and for the next six years traveled the world managing multiple educational projects, worth around $12 million, for USAID. Provided HIV/AIDS prevention education to non-literate people groups mostly in Africa, but also conducted democracy educational projects in Afghanistan, Iraq and Cambodia.

"Retired" in 2009, but didn't like it, so started another business providing financial advisory and business management services to entrepreneurs, small business owners and physicians. Currently working in Lexington, Illinois, Montana, and Texas with possible opportunities in the Bahamas and other international locations.

Been married for 46 years in November, with three children and ten grandchildren, all living in the Central Kentucky area. Have had boats for the last 43 years and in 2012 I got up on my slalom ski for the 50th straight year. Enjoy traveling, reading, soccer and anything my grand kids are in to!
