John Michael Ashbrook was one of the Meadowthorpe kids. I saw him in the late sixties when we were both selling insurance. I noticed his obituary several years ago, I think when we were still in our fifties. It said that he was close to his family, including his ex-wife, and that he had been a notable leader for several years in a 12-step program. I remember him as a goofy kid, and as a kind and thoughtful adult.
